この作品は、福岡県みやま市の旧上庄小学校の6年1組の教室を活用したインスタレーションです。 教室全体を暗幕で覆い、窓に小さなピンホールを開けることで、教室自体を巨大なピンホールカメラ（カメラ・オブスキュラ）に変貌させました。 この空間では、外の風景が天地左右反転して床や壁に映し出され、特に床には空が映り込む幻想的な光景が広がります。
この床に、廃校に残されていた学校の備品—机、椅子、黒板消し、理科室の器具など—を配置し、撮影を行いました。 これらの備品は、かつての学び舎の記憶を宿しながら、映し出された空とともに新たな意味を持つオブジェとして再構成されます。 この作品は、時間の流れと記憶、そして空間の再解釈をテーマに、静謐で詩的な世界を創出しています。
This artwork transforms a former elementary school classroom into a large-scale camera obscura. By covering the room entirely in blackout fabric and introducing a single small pinhole in the window, the classroom becomes a darkened chamber where the outside world is projected—upside down and reversed—onto the interior surfaces. The floor, in particular, captures the sky, creating an immersive and surreal environment.
Within this space, school furnishings left behind after the school's closure—such as desks, chairs, and educational tools—are thoughtfully arranged. These objects, once integral to daily school life, now interact with the ephemeral sky projections, bridging past and present. The resulting photographs document this interplay, inviting viewers to reflect on memory, time, and the transformation of spaces.
This piece was developed as part of the "Kyū Kamishō Elementary School Residence Program 2024" in Miyama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
